Learning Boxing and Coiling Slightly
This 3 disc series presents the theory of Taijiquan. This series contains detailed explanations of all aspects of the practice of Taijiquan. This information has not been previously available in one single location, and these discs provide the viewer with clear verbal and visual examples that illuminate the previously difficult to understand theories of the ancestors. The viewer is instructed in the most important tenet of Taijiquan, that of dantian movement and its relationship to correct practice of Taijiquan.
In the first disc, Chen Xiaowang presents the movement rule of core alignment and proper movement, and the relationship of the dantian to the whole body. He teaches the 3 directions of dantian movement that are fundamental to all movements in the forms. He also teaches standing practice, demonstrating the correct posture on his son, Chen Jun. He explains the concept of relaxation and its importance to the practice of Taijiquan. He explains the purpose of the circling exercise that closes the standing practice.
This DVD finishes with a demonstration of the silk reeling exercises. Chen Xiaowang has his son go perform each exercise while he provides corrections and explanations of each posture.

Posture 19
Grandmaster Chen Xiaowang developed the 19 Form as a tool to carry forward and introduce the world to Chen Style Taijiquan. This simplified form takes its moves from both the Old Frame and New Frame, and provides a graceful entry into the more complex forms of the Chen Family system.
This single DVD begins with a demonstration of the form, followed by demonstration and instruction for each section of the form. The instruction modules include movement explanation for each individual posture.

Posture 38
This 2 disc DVD series presents the 38 Movement Form of Chen Family Taijiquan. The 38 form was created by Chen Xiaowang, based on the Old Frame first set and New Frame first set, intended as a simplified method to introduce students to the complexities of Chen Taijiquan. As such, the well designed set has all the component principals of Taijiquan and is useful and pleasurable form for both beginners and seasoned practitioners alike.
The DVD opens with a brief overview & characteristics of the form. The instructional aspect begins with a complete demonstration of the routine. Then each of the 4 sections is then presented one by one. Within each section the single movements are presented three times, the second time is accompanied by a detailed explanation. The sections are then repeated one by one in their entirely and the instruction concludes with one more demonstration of the form.
The series closes with an instructional module on push hands and application featuring Chen Xiaowang and his son Chen Jun.

Punch in New Frame
This 3 disc set showcases the breathtaking Xinjia Paochui, or New Frame Cannon Fist form. This form, perhaps the most complex form of the Chen Family system, combines speed and strength to create a form that includes stomping, punching, kicking, jumping, and other lightening fast displays of skill. Grandmaster Chen Xiaowang cautions the viewer that this form should be learned only after one has a strong foundation in the Xinjia Yi Lu, or New Frame First Form.
Grandmaster Chen Xiaowang begins with an explanation of the origins of the form and a complete demonstration, and then breaks the form down into instructional sections, providing explanations of each move.
This DVD set also includes a section on push hands, with Chen Jun assisting his father with the demonstrations. Beginning with fixed step one hand push hands, Grandmaster Chen Xiaowang takes the viewer through the five levels of push hands, providing step by step instruction for the push hands drills and application. The DVD set finishes with a complete demonstration of the New Frame Cannon Fist form.

Single Sword
This 2 disc DVD presents the Single Edge Straight Sword, created by Chen Wangting. Considered one of the oldest weapons, it has been practiced for hundreds of years in the Chen Village and beyond. The 49 movements of the sword form combine the body work and footwork of Taijiquan with changes in speed & direction, weapons energies & strategies and skillful development of mind intention to create a powerful and lithe routine.
The DVD opens with a brief overview of the history & characteristics of the sword. The instructional aspect begins with two complete demonstrations of the routine, one at natural speed and one in slow motion. Each section is then presented one by one. Within each section the single movements are presented three times, the second time is accompanied by a detailed explanation. The sections are then repeated one by one in their entirely and the DVD concludes with two more full demonstrations at natural and slow speed.
At the end of the DVD there is an instruction module of pushing hands with Chen Xiaowang and Chen Jun, his son.This portion includes static single & two hand push hands with applications, small and large single stepping & application; and Luancai hua demonstration technique & strategy.

Single Broadsword
Chen Style Broadsword originally consisted of 13 movements, but in the 1930's Chen Zhaopi added 9 movements, bringing the form up to 22 movements. The form exhibits the 13 different sword techniques.

Double Broadsword
Chen Style Taijiquan Double Broadsword is one of the oldest weapon routines. Composed of 35 postures, this dynamic form utilizes many types of strikes, thrusts, overhead movements, jumps and kicks to integrate the hardness and softness that is characteristic of Chen style Taijiquan.
This DVD begins with a complete demonstration of the form by Chen Xiaowang. Each section is then presented, accompanied by the names of the moves in English and Mandarin. Each move is demonstrated at regular speed and in slow motion accompanied by a detailed explanation of the choreography and intent of the move. Each posture is presented from different angles. The DVD finishes with another complete demonstration of the form.

Taiji Spear
The beautiful flowing movements of the spear are often compared to the movements of the Dragon. Grandmaster Chen Xiaowang’s ability to command the spear with skill and grace is clearly shown in this beautiful DVD set.
This 2 disc set presents the Taiji Spear Form, also named Pear Flower Spear with White Ape Stick. The DVD begins with an explanation of the origins of the Taiji spear, and provides the viewer with examples of how the spear easily manifests the principles of Chen Style Taijiquan. The instruction begins with a complete demonstration of the form, followed by a showing of each section with an explanation of each move in detail. The DVD set finishes with another complete demonstration of the form.

Boxing Routines and Weapons Appreciation
This 2 disc DVD set presents an elegant overview of the Chen Boxing & Weapons curriculum. Each form includes a brief description of the history and characteristics of each and is then demonstrated in its entirety. The bare hand forms are demonstrated one time and the weapons forms are demonstrated two times, once at natural speed and once in slow motion. The set is designed to give the viewer a sense of and appreciation for the forms and as such does not include detailed explanations or instruction.
Disc one includes the Xinjia First Form (Xinjia Yilu), the Broadsword, the New Frame Cannon Fist (Xinjia Erlu), the Straight Sword and the Spear. The second DVD presents the Old Frame First Set (Laojia), the 38 Movement Form, the Double Broadsword and the 19 Movement Form.

Old Frame Routine II
Old Frame Routine II of Chen Style Taijiquan is also called Cannon Fist.This form relies mainly on hardness and integrates it with softness when practicing. Many of the quicker, stronger, and fiercer features of Chen Style Taijiquan are incorporated into Old Frame Routine II.
